A Little Something For Brenda Shaver Thanks For Watching!!

Boyband steal the show as they join Justin Timberlake on stage at  MTV VMAs

They kept fans on the edge of their seats over whether or not they would reform for Sunday night's MTV awards  - which only served to heighten frenzied anticipation further
But in the end Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass raised the roof with a 'one night only' reconciliation of 1990s boyband N'Sync.
And the boys - now all over thirty years old - showed they still had what it takes to bring crowds to their knees with a barnstorming medley of hits 'Girlfriend', 'Gone', and 'Bye Bye Bye'.

The five piece, who had a hugely successful career spanning almost a decade from the mid 1990s, had vowed never to reconcile.

Yet Sunday night's performance proved to be the highlight of the annual awards show.
Justin, who went on to become a massive star as a solo artist, was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award by host Jimmy Fallon.
Step back in time: While fans were blown away by the band's VMA medley it was pretty tough on the guys who have not stayed on top of their dancing skills like Justin

Good to be back: The boys felt like they had never split as soon as they started rehearsing

Jimmy heaped praise on the talented 32 year-old who last year married actress Jessica Biel.
'In the two decades he's been entertaining us, he has become a legend. I'm talking hit after hit after hit after hit,' said the comedian.
Humble Justin took the microphone and replied: 'I don't deserve the award, but I'm not going to give it back. I'm taking this home.'
He added: 'Half of the moonmen I've ever won, I won with those four guys right there.'
Out in front: Justin's career has gone from strength to strength since the band split while the others have had mixed success

'So above all else, I'm going to share this - we can keep it at my house - but I'm going to share this award with them. (N'Sync)'
He also took the opportunity to pay tribute to his grandfather who died earlier this year.
Justin, dressed in a black suit and black hat with a red feather, powered through a breathless series of solo hits before the other four members of `N Sync joined him on stage, opening with 'Bye Bye Bye.

In their heyday, the boyband were known for their intricate and highly choreographed dance routines.
Despite the passage of time and a few extra inches on the waistline, their footwork was as fancy as ever.
Dressed snappily in black and white, they gave One Direction a run for their money with their energetic showmanship.

They thrilled their old fans and Twitter was buzzing with praise and nostalgia from celebrities.
Model Brooklyn Decker said as a 13 year-old growing up in Ohio, they were her idols.
And TV personality Ellen DeGeneres admitted her wife Portia di Rossi was overcome with excitement watching the show.
While tennis ace Serena Williams was also taken back to her childhood.
And TV journalist Katie Couric was surely being ironic when she posted that Justin should learn how to dance.

But sadly there is little chance of the five reuniting for good with all having forged new lives for themselves.
Lance, 34, pursued acting and became a spokesman fro gay rights after coming out in 2006.
JC,37, focused on songwriting and has worked with Girls Aloud, Backstreet Boys and Basement Jaxx amongst others.
Joey, 36, has become a TV personality and the eldest member of the band Chris Kirkpatrick, 41, has had success as a voice actor.
And Justin became the most successful of all with a wide ranging career spanning music, TV and movies.
