Christy Turlington, 44, says she'll 'never have surgery' as she stuns in racy new photo shoot
She has been described as the 'ultimate supermodel' with her otherworldly good looks.
But for one of the most beautiful women in the world, Christy Turlington is remarkably okay with growing older - in fact, she relishes it.
The 44-year-old admitted she 'can't wait to be 50' in the June/July issue of Harper's Bazaarmagazine, in which she looks as youthful as ever in lingerie and other skin-revealing attire.
Perpetually youthful: Christy Turlington said in the June/July issue of Harper's Bazaar that she will never have surgery as she stuns in the racy photo shoot
The dedicated yogi said she will never have surgery, describing the procedures as 'getting freakier.'
'Maybe there will be a time when you're an oddball because you're the only one left,' she said. 'I'd rather be the only one, the sole survivor.
'And in that case? I'll just wear turtlenecks all year-round,' she added.
All-American good looks: The 44-year-old flashed her famous smile while wearing an unusual sleeveless dress on the cover of the fashion magazine
The humanitarian looked as gorgeous as ever in the photo spread, showing off her incredible body in a series of provocative shots.
In one picture, she is seen wearing just a lacy camisole as she stares intently at the camera with her signature pout.
On the cover, she flashes her famous smile and boasts a flawless complexion as she wears an unusual sleeveless black dress.
Of the photo shoot, Christy said '[Photographer] Dan [Jackson] said to me, "When you smile you look like you're 16." And I'm like, "Yeah—and then there's my neck."'
Risque: The supermodel wore a bondage-themed dress that sported leather sleeves and a thigh-high slit
The mother-of-two, who drank wine during the interview, also addressed the recent controversy when Kate Moss criticised her for wearing a twinset ('The last time I saw Christy, she was wearing a twinset. You can think twinset, but you can't wear one').
'Oh, I thought it was funny! Kate's one of the funniest people I know. And it's true—I've never been afraid of a twinset. I think she's talking about when we went to South Africa for this Nelson Mandela charity fashion show. Excuse me, what are you gonna wear, Versace?,' she said.
'Next time I see Kate, I'm totally wearing one,' she joked.
Christy, who is considered one of the 'original supermodels' along with Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, said she still sees some of the 'girls' on occasion.
'I don't see everyone very often, but we do exchange Christmas cards. I've had lunch with Cindy. And Naomi I see periodically. She's really good—she'll remember a birthday. I'm horrible.'
Longtime partnership: Christy, pictured in a 1997 Calvin Klein Underwear ad, will front a new campaign for the brand this year
After 25 years modeling for Calvin Klein, Christy will once again front a Calvin Klein Underwear campaign. But she admitted she felt a bit ambivalent about it.
'You know, I'm 44 years old, I'm not 14,' she said. 'I'm healthy, I haven't done anything to myself, I exercise. But I'm not entirely comfortable with myself in underwear either!'
But she had nothing but praise for the famous designer, who appeared to have somewhat of a crush on the model when she first signed with the brand in 1988.
'I love Calvin. He was a huge part of my career. He'd just married Kelly, and it was this whole new era. He told me when he asked me to do the campaign, "If I weren't married already, I would have asked you!"' she recalled.
Handsome couple: Christy and husband Edward Burns, pictured in 2010 in New York, have two children together, Grace, nine, and Finn, seven
Nowadays, Christy is devoted to her charity, Every Mother Counts. Founded in 2010, the organisation raises money and awareness for maternal deaths, and maternal and newborn health.
Christy recently announced her partnership with the Esprit brand to create a limited edition 'Count Me In!' T-shirt with proceeds going to her charity.
'In 2010 I decided that I wanted to create a campaign, an effort to help educate people about maternal deaths,' she said in a statement.
'The Count Me In T-shirt means that you care. I think we can make our voices heard in a more powerful way.'
