Charlie Sheen and ex-wife Denise Richards keep temporary custody of Brooke Mueller's twins as reports emerge of shocking conditions at children's home
Denise Richards was supported by her ex-husband Charlie Sheen in court on Tuesday as she successfully fought to keep temporary custody of his twin sons with troubled ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Sheen's four-year-old's Bob and Max, have been with 42-year-old Richards since they were removed from Mueller's care last week by officials who allegedly found them living in shocking conditions.
Mueller, 35, checked into the UCLA Medical Center on Sunday for short-term rehab and her lawyers appeared on her behalf in court on Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services removed the boys after finding them in an 'unsafe environment' related to their mother's suspected drug use.
The hearing came as reports emerged of shocking conditions within the home Mueller shared with her sons.
According to website TMZ the judge scrutinised a report on the state of the home before ruling that the boys should stay in Richards' care.
The boys attended the court hearing on Tuesday, before heading back home with Richards.
They won't be returned to Mueller's care until authorities feel they are in a safe environment.

The judge overseeing the custody case issued a gag order on Tuesday banning anyone involved from talking about it.
Sheen waved to fans as he left the courthouse and gave them the sealed lips gesture as he got into a vehicle.
It is not the first time Richards has taken in the boys, who are the younger half-siblings of her two oldest daughters.
Richards also stepped in last year to look after the twins while Brooke underwent a different stint in rehab.
Mueller was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center for two days last week before checking out of the hospital on Friday. The twins were removed from her home during her involuntary stay at the hospital.
She checked in again on Sunday for short-term rehab and later will move into a longer rehab program.
Sheen and Richards married in 2002 and got divorced four years later. They had nine-year-old daughter Sam and seven-year-old daughter Lola together. Richards also adopted a third daughter, Eloise, in 2011.

Richards has not hesitated to help the twins when needed.
'They're our family and they're Sam and Lola's brothers, and I can't imagine growing up without my sister, so anytime she needs help, I'm there for the boys,' Denise told Access Hollywood.
'[Sam and Lola] are the best big sisters to [the boys] and they love them. I know it doesn't seem normal, but it is our normal. They're little kids and I love children, and like I said, it's our daughter's brothers, so I can't say no.'
Sheen, 47, and Mueller were married in May 2008 and their divorce was finalized in May 2011.
