Sofia Vergara likes to let loose in a big way.

And she really let the good times roll during a visit to her hometown of Barranquilla, Colombia, near the Caribbean coast.

The 40-year-old Modern Family star packed a lot of party in two days as she danced the night away with her fiance Nick Loeb and all the locals, including a muscled man sporting an impressive six pack.

True to form, the curvy brunette shimmied to the music in festive wear including a black and white vertically striped dress that showed her ample cleavage and a hot pink number that fit her body like a glove.

When the spirited Colombian actress wants to party, she heads on home.

The sitcom star took a break from filming the movie Heat on location in New Orleans, Louisiana, to spend some time with her friends and family.

Sofia graciously shared the fun festivities with her fans and followers on her Twitter page.

'Barranquilla! This is how we party!!' Sofia tweeted, along with a photo of herself grooving to the beat with her fellow revellers.

Sofia was ready for retreat on Saturday when took off on a jet, tweeting: 'Saliendo pa el Bicentenario de Barranquilla!!!'

The sultry star was wearing a comfortable black top and black leggings as she walked up the steps to the plane in black stiletto heels no less.

Likes zebras: Sofia wore a black and white striped number on the next night as she partied with pals

The next morning Sofia shared her amazing buffet spread, writing: 'Breakfast in Barranquilla!!!'

Posing with colourfully attired locals in her fuchsia frock, Sofia tweeted: 'What a party last night!!!Gracias Yoyi,Marianella y Moncho!!!eso si fue una fiesta!!!!'

For those who don't know the language, it can easily be translated into 'fun, fun, fun.'

Notice anything different? Well, she is known for her comedic turn in Modern Family; Sofia got some laughs when she played around with a zebra mask

'Nick and Franz,' she wrote in the caption of a picture that showed her between Nick, whom she got engaged to last year after three years of dating, and a loved one. 

On Sunday, Sofia was still in the reveling mood when she tweeted: 'Another night of celebration in my Barranquilla!'

'Plaza de la Paz!' she wrote in the caption of yet another photo in which she's wearing a zebra-striped frock with plunging neckline.

Then she posted a hilarious picture of herself holding a prettily painted zebra head sculpture in front of her face, which happens to match her zebra-inspired dress.

'Our last night in Barranquilla,' Sofia sadly wrote, posting a close-up photo of herself with Nick.
