The confession: Daniel Radcliffe hinted he was dating an older woman on Thursday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live
The young actor was chatting with the television host to promote his new film Kill Your Darlings on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.
A caller to the show asked The Harry Potter star if he had a particular type when it came to women and if he was dating anyone at the moment.
Radcliffe replied: 'Yes, I am dating someone.’
Captive audience: Andy Cohen and Betsy Brandt were enthralled with the young man's penchant for cougars
The veteran stage actor seemed to hesitate before adding: 'And my type is… the type I keep private.’
Adding: ‘My type is intelligent.'
But he was not going to get away that easy with Cohen sitting right next to him.
Pressing for more: Andy reminded the Harry Potter star of how he lost his virginity
The 45-year-old chat show host pressed Daniel, reminding him that he had previously admitted to losing his virginity to someone with experience.
Nearly five years ago Radcliffe had confessed he celebrated reaching the age of consent, 16, in the customary manner with a much older girlfriend.
At the time he insisted the age difference 'wasn't ridiculous', although it 'would freak some people out'.
His record to contend with: Radcliffe admitted he prefers mature women
Andy - clearly remembering the anecdote well, all these years later - then asked if his current love was also a mature companion.
Clearly uncomfortable Radcliffe mumbled: 'Umm... It would be hard for me to deny [it].’
Adding: ‘I have a track record with that.'

Meanwhile, Daniel portrays influential beat poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings.
In a recent interview he spoke about the challenge of shooting his gay sex scenes, saying 'I was doing a gay sex scene and the director (John Krokidas) was giving step-by-step instructions.
'And the favourite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, "Not like that. Crazy sex kissing". ‘
Looking smart: The actor attended the Los Angles Premiere of Kill Your Darlings that same evening
Adding humorously: ‘I spent ten years in a kids' franchise and that was definitely a moment of, "Yes, I think I'm moving on".'
Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Ben Foster and Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kill Your Darlings was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim.
The movie will open in the U.S. on October 16.
