Mark Wahlberg puts on a brave face at Pain & Gain screening in New York just hours after his beloved Boston is bombed
Mark Wahlberg is a pro, and when he's booked into an event... he's going to attend.
Especially when it's a screening to promote his latest movie, but when he walked into said event in New York on Monday night it was clearly with a heavy heart.
Just hours earlier, his beloved home city, Boston, had been targeted in the most unspeakable fashion when devastating explosions brought carnage to the city's marathon.

'Prayers and thoughts with Boston': Mark Wahlberg looked grim-faced as he attended a screening for Pain and Gain in New York just hours after his beloved home city was targeted by bombers
Mark, 41, was born in the Dorchester area of the city, the youngest of nine children he soon fell into a bad crowd and had several brushes with the city's police.
But he turned his life around, and after his brother Donnie cut a swathe into the celebrity world as a member of '90s band, New Kids on the Block.
Donnie, 43, now stars in CBS series Blue Bloods, and both he and his mega famous little brother retain strong ties to their home city, loyally and regularly attending Celtics games.
Difficult time: Mark Tweeted this short but heartfelt message
