David Hasselhoff puts his muscular beach body back on show as he wears a pair of tight swimming trunks to go sailing in Australia

He rose to fame wearing just a pair of skimpy swimming trunks to play the role of L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon.

And it seems that David Hasselhoff can still carry them off at the age of 60.

The American actor was seen displaying his still rather buff body as he went sailing around Cullen Bay aboard a luxury boat in Darwin, Northern Territory on Tuesday.

This time the TV star wore a more tighter pair of shorts in navy and red.

While he may not have the exact same abdominal muscles he regularly flaunted on the Californian hit nineties series, David still looked good for his age as he worked on his tan under the sun.

Almost as if he was reprising his role of Buchannon, David was seen looking out to the water as he stood on the boat's edge.

Later in the day, the actor slipped on a pair of bright green trousers as he appeared to be videoing himself during a telephone conversation.

Not seen on his trip Down Under was his girlfriend Hayley Roberts.

The couple have recently been spending considerable time in the UK where David was launching a new scratch card.

David has been dating former shop assistant Hayley for nearly two years after they met when she asked for his autograph at the Britain's Got Talent audition in Cardiff.

He splits his time between the United States and United Kingdom to make his romance work.

He married Baywatch and The Young and the Restless star Pamela Bach in 1989 and had two daughters, Taylor Ann born 1990, and Hayley in 1992.

But the couple later split in 2006 and their divorce was finalised in 2007.
