Sophie Monk straddles a scantily clad woman in sexually charged ad campaign 

Australian actress Sophie Monk is set to stop traffic - and maybe cause a few accidents - with an eye-popping new billboard campaign.

The 33-year-old is the star of a very raunchy advert in which she straddles a woman dressed in lingerie while clutching a bottle of champagne.

Sophie's racy ad for luxury brand Angel Champagne can be seen high above a Los Angeles street - and will no doubt prove distracting to motorists.

Both Sophie and the model in the advert are dressed provocatively in black underwear.

 

Sophie looks provocatively at the camera and grasps the champagne bottle - the only clue to what they're actually advertising -  seductively by its neck.

The actress, singer and model's ad is in very much the same vein as model Eva Herzigová's famous 'Hello Boys' ad for Wonderbra in 1994 which featured a close-up image of Herzigová wearing a black Wonderbra.

And like the 90s racy ad campaign, it looks set to attract a few complaints or drive motorists to distraction.

Angel Champagne is an exclusive premium product which costs £380 for a 750ml bottle.

Numbered bottles of the 12-year-old vintage brut version are packaged in diamond-studded leather cases and cost £188,000 each.

The company was founded by British entrepreneur Stefano Zagni and can only be purchased online or at very select venues around the world.

Singer Mariah Carey is an ambassador for the brand as well as an investor. 

Zagni told website Luxury Insider: 'I sent some bottles to Mariah for her wedding anniversary and she said how much she loved it. Now she's invested in us and she's part of the team.'

Angel champagne is not the first ad campaign the model turned singer turned actor has worked on.

Last year, she and Ray J are said to have signed $1 million deals to be the faces of Prince Reigns, where the pair frolicked semi named in the singer's pool.

Ray J, who is most famous for starring in Kim's notorious sex tape, is also known for his on-off relationship with the late Whitney Houston.

On Thursday the 33-year-old was spotted enjoying a manicure with friends ahead of the premiere of her new movie, Dorfman in Love.

The English born, Australian raised star was wearing a colourful outfit for her West Hollywood manicure, a retro colour print top, teamed with blue skinny jeans.

The blonde beauty later tweeted a picture of herself at the premiere, wearing an unusual 3-piece blue on white floral print trouser suit.

Not always after a quick buck, Sophie last year turned down a million dollar offer from Playboy magazine to pose for the cover and an inside pictorial.

The Entourage star was concerned it would ruin her chances of landing Hollywood movie roles.

'They’re trying every angle to get me to do it. They’re relaunching the whole thing and making it old school again because it kind of lost it for me.'

The former pop-singer revealed that her mother would be her inspiration as she herself had posed for the famous magazine.

'They’ve offered me a million dollars, and it’s negotiable how much you show.'

In 2009 the former fiancee of Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden was left broken-hearted when she found her plastic surgeon boyfriend Dr John Diaz in bed with another woman. 

Despite Diaz's efforts to win her back, Sophie forged on with her life, getting engaged to American businessman Jimmy Esebag, who is 20 years her senior.

At the time, she described the businessman  as a long-time friend, 'soul partner' and a 'male version of myself.'

Adding: 'I know people are going to make remarks about us, but it doesn’t bother me.

'I love everything about him. He’s given me a new perspective on life.'

The blonde beauty broke up with the businessman just a couple of months later, claiming she had got 'carried away'.

Sophie has also become infamous for her 'trout pout' lips, saying it all started when she had collagen injected following a botched removal of a cyst.

It is unclear if her ex boyfriend, plastic surgeon Dr John Diaz, performed the procedure.

Sophie rose to fame in Australia after winning the country's version of American Idol.

She then forged a career as an actress, moving to Los Angeles and becoming a close friend of Nicole Richie.
